EMPLOYER DASHBOARD
Search
Users found it difficult to explore relevant fundraisers and volunteering opportunities, making cause-based discovery critical to helping them find initiatives they care about. Causes were surfaced across the header, filters, and a dedicated Explore section to support both browsing and targeted discovery. For frequent users, clear entry points for donation and volunteering enabled faster, goal-driven navigation.

Returning volunteers prioritised filtering opportunities by time and location to quickly find options that fit their availability. Whilst returning donors were likely to filter more by the charities they care about and if there donations were matched by their employers.
User Pain point: Multiple volunteering registrations
The team leader wants to enrol their entire team to a volunteering event for team building and have a clear availability window. They begin browsing volunteering opportunities but are presented with a long, mixed list of events across different dates and locations.

Without effective time and location filters, the volunteer has to open multiple listings to check basic details. After scanning several options that don’t fit their schedule or are too far away, frustration builds. The effort required to manually sift through irrelevant opportunities causes the volunteer to abandon the search.

UX Insight
Without availability-based filtering, returning volunteers—who already know their constraints—are blocked from taking quick, goal-driven action.
